We made it to spring!!

Since we are seem to have some extra time on our hands with the COVID-19 out and about, I would highly recommend to join the Ashford Club at Ashford.co.nz.  They send out a newletter with lots of inspirational ideas for weaving, knitting and spinning.  You must be a fan of the Wheel Magazine!!   You can locate all the past copies back to 2004 on the website.

Take a look at the new lightening drop spindles from Schacht 50 anniversary.  I  managed to get the last of these beauties.  Each one has a laser etched pattern and it’s sure to be one of your favorites!

The baby lambs are popping out into this sunshine. We have 20 babies so far. There is still more to come.

As mentioned on the workshop page we have postponed the classes and workshops.  We are most happy to open the shop by appointment if you are in need.  You do not realized how much your social life revolves around fibre until all the fibre groups and fibre faires are cancelled!  I miss you already! I’m going to the barn to cuddle lambs.

June 2019

Look familiar?

We are making a few changes at the studio.  If the shelving looks familiar, that”s because it was from the Wool Shop!  It was sad to see our LYS close after all these years.

The shelves fit in very nicely and allow more yarns and  roving to be displayed.  This is a good thing because we sheared 32 sheep this year.  Lots of processing to be done!! Lots of fibre fun to be enjoyed!

Come by and check things out it would be great to see you again.

February is here…

We have already welcomed 3 new lambs to the family.  Beautiful black triplets! Watch for the photos!

It has been a busy year and we have only just started.  We have made some updates to the website as we have acquire some new and wonderful items.  Grinsheep now carries the Kollage Original Square knitting needles.  We have tried them out and have been so nice to knit with.  They come double pointed, interchangeable, and  regular cable, soft and firm. They are great for those with arthritis!

Weaving frames are a hot item these days.  If you are interested in weaving please contact the store as we do have a weaving group.
